The Timothy GroupWhen I received a call from The Timothy Group in regards to a new web design project, it was something that could not be refused. The Timothy Group is one of the most respected fund raising consulting firms in the United States. Here is a detailed breakdown of the project: ![]() Clean Modern DesignWith this website, it seemed best to throw out the basic convention of a three column website. Instead a modern grid based design was used to bring emphasis to important areas of the page. This layout also made it easy to integrate large areas where The Timothy Group could highlight important parts of the website. Super FunctionalityTo meet the needs of a web 2.0 world, The Timothy Group needed a dynamic website that implemented some to the latest technologies.
Dynamic ContentJoomla 1.5Dynamic content was a must for this website, and Joomla 1.5 fit the bill nicely. This CMS makes it easy for the staff to change, add, and manage content. A new article can be added to the front page without any hassle at all. Joomla 1.5 also allows The Timothy Group to collect important data from clients, send forms, and provide user management and permissions on the website. E-CommerceThe Timothy Group needed a simple to use e-commerce solution on the website so that it could sell the latest fundraising materials developed by their organization. Thus, The SimpleCaddy was installed. It is easy to manage and integrates with Pay Pal, one of the most trusted names in the industry. E-NewletterAt the beginning of this project, The Timothy Group was exploring the use of Constant Contact E-Newsletters into their marketing plan. This outstanding service is implemented on their website in two ways. They are able to sign up clients interested in their newsletter right on the website, and archived newsletters are shown within the website itself, while retaining the look. There are many more exciting features in The Timothy Group website. If you would like to have the same level of design, functionality, and dynamic content on your website contact JD Web Design Studio. |

The Timothy Group wanted something easier to manage than a run of the mill slide show on the front page. In comes the Gavick Image Slider, an Ajax powered Joomla 1.5 module that directly points to articles found within the website. This module is so easy to use that any staff member can easily highlight new event that are going on with the company.
Flash was implemented with the Joomla 1.5 menu builder system to create a powerful exciting experience for users of the website.
